April Loraine Wilson, LMP started her odyssey into the world of alternative medicine in 2003 when she attended massage school in Salt Lake City at the Utah College of Massage Therapy (UCMT). The instruction showed her the path to Eastern medicine modalities along with intensive study into structural bodywork. She graduated from UCMT in 2004 and moved to Seattle. In 2005 she enrolled in the Ayurvedic Academy (now Kerala Ayurveda Academy). During that time she was hired to provide Ayurvedic therapies (panchakarma/purvakarma) at Ayurveda, Yoga & Ultimate Nutrition (AYU), Natural Medicine Clinic with Dr. Vikek Shanbhag. April worked and trained with Dr. Shanbhag at his clinic in Seattle. Winter 2005 April traveled to India to study Ayurveda and panchakarma, enabling her to incorporate this ancient wisdom and healing therapy into her practice. In 2007, April was asked by Keesha Morris ARNP to set up the panchakarma room for Fern Life Center. She worked as lead massage practitioner,  panchakarma technician and staff educator at Fern Life Center for about two years. April has pursued education in Ayurvedic pulse diagnoses with Dr. Vasant Lad and continues her education in Ayurvedic and Yogic studies by taking regular workshops, seminars and intensives.

April’s traditional massage specialization is in structural bodywork from which she developed a style of massage that combines deep tissue, injury and sport massage concepts. She has a background in Western medical studies completing her Associates in Arts & Science emphasizing Psychology/Pre-Health Sciences at Bellevue College in WA and is currently perusing a Bachelors in Psychology through Eastern Washington University @BC. Outside of her studies April co-founded the Washington Ayurvedic Medical Association in 2006. April now offers bodywork and wellness consultations that focus on incorporating Ayurveda, Yoga and alternative healing modalities into ones life.
