Biography:

Life in a New Land
Chiyona was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to Seattle when she was 5 years old. She remembers her first day of school in her new country where she didn’t understand the language, and everyone had their clothes on backwards! What strange place had she come to? Later she learned that she just happened to arrive on “Clothes on Backwards Day”, a Spirit Day to boost morale for the students. With the help of local television shows and complete immersion into this new culture, Chiyona learned so quickly that she was tutoring other children in English by the time she was 8 years old. She had also acquired math skills years ahead of her peers. Chiyona’s mother sought to nurture her ability to learn and enrolled her in the Suzuki Institute of Music for lessons in the piano in 1987. She continued this rigorous music education for the next eight years, where she excelled as a solo performer and as accompanist for other musicians.

A Knack for Teaching
After moving out on her own, Chiyona tried several small jobs before getting hired at a Montessori school and a private piano instruction company. She quickly found that teaching was a job that she excelled at and had a passion for. She developed the ability to work with children who misbehaved the most, helping them to learn and cooperate with other students. Chiyona eventually became an assistant teacher at the prestigious Harvard Avenue School, a private preschool, and developed her own piano teaching business. She has brought discipline, excitement, and a passion for learning into the lives of thousands of children through more than a decade as a teacher.

A Creative Community
In the final hours of the year 2000, she met several artists who focused on expression through music events, performance, and intentional art. This inspired her to produce her own events as a member of Heartcore Productions, where she expanded on an interest in Feng Shui by designing environments that fostered the arts and creative connections. This experience led her to the positions of Altar Lead, creating sacred installations, and Ritual Performance Artist for the Oracle Gatherings (www.oraclegatherings.com). Here she found a community where she felt supported and could develop as a artist with many talents. This is also, where she met her husband, Osiris Indriya. Chiyona has developed as a lead performance artist for the Future Nurses and regularly collaborates with Seattle artist and clothing designer Kiymbah Tytania. Together, they create themed performances combining fire dancing, elaborate costumes, and movement with messages of hope. Chiyona also performs regularly as an electronic music DJ at private events, festivals, and night clubs.

Learning to Expand
In 2006, Chiyona was so inspired by the art and magick she and her community were creating. At the same time, she knew that more was possible. She simultaneously decided to return to the University of Washington to finish her degree in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts, and she began esoteric studies in the Lineage of King Solomon with the Modern Mystery School. The UW gave her a practical and historical understanding of art and it’s creation, while the Modern Mystery School allowed her to study her self through a personal practice of ceremonial magick and the service of others through healing. Her education in Ceremonial Magick included initiation as a Kabbalist, an Apprentice to Ritual Magick, and a Knights Templar as a Warrior of Light. Through the studies on the Healer Path, she has been initiated as a Healer, a Teacher, and a Guide for others just staring their path. She has been given the honor, privilege and responsibility to initiate others into the first step of membership in the Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Light.

Developing a Practice
Today, Chiyona is continuing to develop her art and music, a healing practice, and a school of life at the 9th House. Her healing services include Etheric Surgery, Emotional Cord Cutting, Negative Spell Removal, Purification by Light, and Life Activation, which turns on the dormant divine blueprint within your DNA to align yourself to your highest life purpose. She also teaches, music, art, and introductory courses in Western Magick Tradition.
